In response to overwhelming interest, Alice Springs’s latest property development – Alice Stars – hosted their second successful housing expo of the year at the Double Tree Hilton Hotel in December.
Stage One Reserved!
The emerging site of 36 apartments is being built by NT Project Services, and has attracted significant interest from both first home buyers and investors alike with over 600 enquiries in the last three months, and stage one almost entirely reserved.
The reasons for the high level of interest are clear; the Alice Stars development presents a rare and genuine opportunity to acquire a new, affordable and highly secure property in the heart of Alice Springs.
Good News for First Home Buyers
There is more good news – many buyers may qualify for one of the numerous government incentives available – such as the first home buyers grant, which could mean that you are eligible for between $15,000 to $20,000 towards buying a new home. When coupled with other options, these incentives make it possible for many to buy a home with 0% deposit, overcoming the greatest barrier many face when trying to get that first foot on the property ladder.
Good News for Investors and Working Professionals and Local Business.
The iconic town of Alice boasts one of the best rental returns in Australia. When compared to other major cities across the nation, Alice Springs landlords enjoy a higher return on rent compared to the value of the property. Low vacancy rates, high yields and secure premises are favoured qualities for potential investors.
Alice Stars property developer Mark Slocum explains:
“This project was born a number of years ago and it has taken a journey to get to where we are now, working with council, government departments as well as local operators – everything to date has been locally constructed – as will all future constructions and supplies where possible.”
What has been done to date?
Anyone who has driven past the site location on Gap Road will know – the site is still very much in the process of development, but according to Mark, there is more to the site than meets the eye;
‘All the essential substructures and foundations have been completed – water, electrics, levels and boundary work have now been finished, which will now allow us to progress rapidly to stage one development early in 2020.”
With ‘below ground’ structures in place, and with most of stage one already reserved, there is growing momentum and excitement heading into the new year. 2020 will see the first 9 apartments and swimming pool being completed by July, with the remainder to be completed by the end of the year.
In the meantime, Alice Stars is planning its third housing expo projected for March 2020, ( exact date and location to be confirmed), allowing interested buyers and investors to again view site plans, speak with the builders and finance experts and even to reserve properties.
